Mock Trial

Mock Trial competitions are sponsored and administered by the American Mock Trial Association. Each team receives similar case materials at the beginning of the season to use to prepare for upcoming competitions. Included in the materials are case law, witness statements and rules of evidence. Each team must prepare both sides of the case (e.g. prosecution and defense in a criminal trial).

Mock Team Update Spring 2020

The team traveled to the St. Thomas School of Law and competed against MIAC schools like St. Kate’s, Hamline, and Macalester. We walked away with an even 4-4 record after facing the two highest scoring teams. Our attorneys also walked away as some of the highest scoring in the entire tournament with our Co-President Adam Schwartz walking away with three out of four judges naming him top attorney! We are now looking forward to regionals from February 21-23 at Hamline University where we hope to move to Opening Round Championships (ORCS).

Anyone interested in learning more/getting involved should email the Pre-Law Society email ([email protected]), or either of our Co-Presidents ([email protected] or [email protected]) to learn more.
